This is what I have been using to reduce my stress when it comes to fun and work. I call it “Quarter-Time-Rule”:
1. Always give yourself time to relax every day: either playing sports; watching TV; checking social media, talking to friends. Always add 25% additional time to what you plan to give to yourself. For example, if you are planning to relax for an hour, set aside 75 minutes. You should never go beyond 75 minutes.
2. Plan school work one week at a time. Make an estimation for the time required to complete each task and add 25% more time to that estimation. Finish one task before you start the next. If you find yourself behind the schedule, cut back on the relaxation time.
